Thanks to its broad business activities, Swiss Post is able to open myriad doors for people who want to move with the company, in Switzerland and abroad. Swiss Post strengthens the innovativeness of its employees and their ability to perform.  It also sets great store by advanced training and professional development. It promotes method-related, social and leadership skills by offering internal advanced training opportunities. Depending on the personal and operational need for development, Swiss Post also supports external basic and advanced training, in terms of both time and money.

Each year Swiss Post offers over 700 young people apprenticeships leading to a qualification recognized by the Swiss Federal Office for Training and Technology (BBT). More than 1,800 people are currently undertaking an apprenticeship at Swiss Post. After graduating from a university or university of applied sciences, young people embarking on a career can take their first steps with Swiss Post and gain skills in a wide variety of areas.  They are offered a varied training programme, work placements lasting between three and six months, and a PhD programme for academic papers and theses on a variety of postal-related subjects.
