Basic information
Swiss Post continues to developLetters: sorted and delivered efficiently
Every day, Swiss Post processes around 15 million letters. It does this reliably and inexpensively in European comparison. As a modern company, Swiss Post is continuously improving its internal processes and systematically examining new technological possibilities. This enables us to achieve the objective defined by the Federal Council to provide high-quality postal services without financial assistance. With automatic sequencing, Swiss Post aims to increase efficiency, improve competitiveness, and continue to provide customers with a good price/performance ratio and high-quality services in the future.
Optimum preconditions available
The letter centre concept, which was successfully completed in 2009 with three new letter centres in Eclépens, Härkingen and Zurich-Mülligen and logistics centres in Gossau, Cadenazzo, Kriens, Basel, Ostermundigen and Geneva, provides optimum preconditions for further modernization in letter processing. Distrinova aims to improve delivery processes, i.e. at the end of the process chain, and increase their efficiency.
