Details of notification services for recipients
Five services for your customersSwiss Post's notification services enable you to inform recipients actively about the status of a consignment. You order the notification service and determine whom Swiss Post should notify. As soon as the desired consignment event has occurred, Swiss Post will inform the recipient. You can choose from five services:
"Confirmation of mailing" notification
Inform the recipient that the consignment has been handed in for mailing to Swiss Post. This service confirms to the recipient that the order is on the way. The consignment number can be used to track the consignment online at all times.
"Delivery information" notification
With this service, your recipient knows on which day to expect the consignment. Swiss Post communicates the exact delivery date one working day in advance. Thanks to the known delivery date, the recipient can make arrangements and be at home to accept the delivery, for example.
"Pick-up information" notification
Inform your customers who receive mail at a P.O. box or "poste restante" as soon as the consignment is ready for collection. Your customers will thus save valuable time, avoid unnecessary trips and can collect their consignments right when they arrive.
"Reminder to recipient" notification
Reduce the number of returns. Remind your recipients that they have not yet collected their consignment from the post office. This notification will be initiated after an unsuccessful first delivery attempt (e.g. the recipient was not at home) and after a collection notice was issued to the recipient.
"Handover status to sender" notification
You will be informed as soon as your consignment reaches the recipient. You will thus know at all times whether Swiss Post has already delivered your consignment, if it is ready for collection at a post office or if another delivery attempt has been made.
