Requirements

The additional electronic COD (BLN) service is only available for domestic items. It is provided exclusively to business customers who mail a large number of items (letters or parcels) via COD.

In order to take advantage of the electronic COD (BLN) service, you  must be registered as a business customer with Swiss Post. In addition, you need your own system for the electronic exchange of consignment data via DataTransfer. Your customer advisor will be pleased to support you in setting up the DataTransfer interface.

Simplified consignment preparation

The electronic COD (BLN) solution eliminates the need to fill in and affix the COD payment slip. You affix an item barcode, the "BLN" additional service barcode and the recipient's address to your items and mail them as usual.

Use DataTransfer to transmit the consignment data (consignment number, recipient address and COD amount) shortly before handing the items in to Swiss Post.
