Investing in the future

Swiss Post is obliged to pursue a sustainable corporate policy. Development is sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without reducing the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

Sustainability is about more than just protecting the environment. In everything that Swiss Post does, it attempts to consider not only ecological aspects, but also economic and social aspects, with the objective of achieving a balance between the three. In practice, however, the best solution from an ecological or social point of view is not always the best solution in terms of economics.

Yet without economic success, Swiss Post cannot protect the environment effectively, nor can it fulfil its social responsibilities. Economic success is the prerequisite for sustainable action.

Swiss Post is convinced that sustainable corporate management will bring long-term rewards – not only enabling the company to develop successfully, but also benefiting society.
